River Falls at the Gorge

This campground sits right along the Tallulah River. Even though COVID was just beginning, this get-a-way was a great way to pretend that the epidemic was not going to get worse. The campground sits at the base of a mountain with the river winding by. The sites where we camped were large and private. There were hiking trails near-by, a pool, a large recreation room, water-wheel and a few cabins. The sites were not full hook up, but it was easy access to empty tank upon exit. The showers were clean. It was a nice place to get away. There are trout streams near-by with fishing access in the mountains.
