Gulf Shores State Park

June 2018

Gulf Shores State Park was amazing! Miles of new wooden raised walkways that allow you to bike, run or walk over the entire park! They travel over the marsh, water-ways, pond and give you two direct access paths to the Gulf of Mexico! One access is the fishing pier and the other is a state beach. The park provides both pull-thru and back-in sites making easy access for big rigs. Tip- get the water front pull through sites that are directly on the inlets. They have shade, grass and awesome fishing or canoeing opportunities. The park has a big water front dog park with a beach and obstacles for the dogs, several large lakes, nature center, large (clean) swimming pool, Gulf of Mexico access to beaches and fishing... This is a super place to stay!! Also- we ate at the coolest place ever called THE HANGOUT. Pictures cannot capture the atmosphere there. Would recommend everyone go here at least once.
