St. John’s River, Marina, awesome restaurant and Manatees? Yes this was a fun trip.
This was a great way to bring in 2023. This resort is located right on the St. John’s River. There were alligators and exotic birds in the campground. Manatees were abundant at the warm springs only 9 miles away. They would normally be in the River, but due to the cold front, they elected to stay in the 72 degrees water. Blue Springs State Park is a must see for these springs! The Marina had excellent food with both indoor and outdoor options. There were guided tours that were inexpensive and actually fun. There were not many pull-through and it was tight when full. There are full timers in there. There are also places to rent on the water if you don’t have a camper. Not fancy, but fun and very nice people. It was clean and worth a visit.
